23 weeks pregnant and a few concerns? ?
BabyGirl Asked: 23 weeks pregnant and a few concerns? ?
Hi everybody! I am 23 weeks pregnant with my first. I have a few concerns only because I'm a worry wart.
Yesterday was the Holiday of course. And we bbq'd and cooked. I was wanting to know would the hot dogs and potato salad be okay to eat? It was grilled and the potato salad was homemade. It was in the refrigerater I just don't want to take of hurting my baby boy. I ate everything yesterday because it was fresh but I'm just not sure about it today. I really want some though.
Also my next concern is feeling the baby. I don't really feel him move. I will be 24 weeks Friday and I thought i would feel strong kicks now. I get an ultrasound everytime I go to the Dr which was about two weeks ago. On the 23rd I thinkeverything was good. I was 21 weeks then. I'm just a worry wart. The only medicine I've taken was diflucin which I know is okay and metronidazole cream which wouldn't affect him. Is this normal? Sometimes I get a throb in my lower vagina towards my bladder but I'm not sure if its him. I know he's still small but I just want reassurance. My next appointment isn't until the 23.

You should be just fine. As long as you aren't eating raw foods or the foods that are strictly prohibited (certain fish) you are free to eat pretty much anything you want. That throb near the vagina that makes you feel like you want to pee, is your baby moving and kicking that way. At 23 weeks, he's still barely a pound, if that so you will feel him more on some days and less on others. I experienced the same thing.

I wouldn't make hot-dogs the basis of your diet, but as an occassional thing, they're fine.
Potato salad is safe too.
As long as you're feeling some movement, I wouldn't worry about the lack of 'strong kicks' — baby is still pretty small.
I AM a bit concerned that you are getting ultrasounsd every visit. Are you having complications?Frequent ultrasounds are not necessary or beneficial in a healthy pregnancy, and may expose baby to some potential risks.(As with any medical tests/procedures, the benefits have to outweigh the risks.)
depends on what state you live in, do you still have the receipts of the things you paid for? in most cases a verbal agreement doesn't mean anything, you have to have it in writing. you could take him to small claims court.
