Agents are recruiting truck drivers, like Rudy Gonzales, into the First Observer Highway Security Program to say something if they see something. The TSA has NO authority under law or the Constitution to conduct searches on public roadways. They are not elected or sworn law enforcement officials.
If a TSA agent conducts an illeagal search they are subject to citizens arrest regardless of weather or not a state law enforcement official is present. If a state official is present and refuses to uphold the law then they are subject legal action as well. The county officials such as the Sheriff are the ultimate power in their county. This authority supercedes any state or federal official. Read the fourth ammendment of the US Constitution
I think Bruce is correct. Sheriff’s are elected law enforcement officals and only answer to the Constitution and their electorate. Check out Oathkeepers.org . Police answer to the Chief and their government officals, sometime the Constitution.
