My family and our dog went to pet-smart and the trainer there saw my daughter petting some of the dogs in her obedience class and asked her to come in and help by petting the dogs everything went well until she asked my daughter to pet a boxer( who I later found out from the owner had been nervous and anxious since the begging of the class) she asked my daughter to pet it on the rear end and when my daughter did the dog turned and bit her in the face causing a laceration above her lip that is going to leave a scar and a blood blister type sore that has turned into a bruised looking ulcer on her bottom lip and a small bruise on her cheek and chin. I took my daughter to the hospital because I thought she was going to need stitches but they informed me that they would not stitch it up because it had a better chance of becoming infected so they put her on two antibiotics and gave me the name of a plastic surgeon to call in a few days. I know that my health insurance company is not going to pay for this because their is another party that can be held liable and I need to know if a lawsuit is warranted. I AM NOT ONE TO FILE FRIVOLOUS LAWSUITS but I need to make sure this bill is going to be paid.
