Driving to Arizona from Kansas?
Asked: Driving to Arizona from Kansas?
I will be making the trek to Tempe, AZ from Lawrence, KS in Sept. I know it is around a 20 hour drive with no stops. I also know the drive overall is going to be pretty dreary. My question is, are there any recommendations for stops along the way? Anything I should watch for? The route is US 54 & I 40.
I will be traveling with my dog (6-yr old lab), so we will take 2-3 potty breaks (a day) along the way. My plan was to drive at least 10 hours a day, but would like to knock out as much of the drive that first day as possible. I thought I would grab a hotel room in New Mexico for the one night. Is that feasible?
How old are you 12?Just gas up the car and drive until you can't.Stop, sleep and continue the next day.
Drove from NYC to Ft. Lauderdale a million times.
You can make a note if you're really concerned, but the SPCA isn't going to take your dogs without neglect or abuse. Most likely they don't respond to neighbors with attitude issues, and if your dogs are healthy and happy they won't do a thing. However, you can get a noise complaint from the police – Again only by noise laws. Here, they can't do anything before 11. Not sure about where you are. I wouldn't be overly concerned. Just film your neighbors' dog excessively barking and show anyone that shows up that – IF anyone does, it's likely not to happen.

Golden Retriever definitely. They are the sweetest dogs, perfect temper, and love to be around humans. Not as hyper as labs, and not as small or little dog yappy as pugs. Also, they are the 4th smartest dog, and eager to learn and please their owner.
