Asked: How can i train my dog to not run out the door?

Well we open and close the door alot and i have a puppy! And i just know he will run out that door and never come back! He gets excited when we come home, and he can open the doors! Hes escaped before but we were lucky enough to catch him!!! Please help!!

You should take your dog to the vet ASAP. For now, when she goes to bed, instead of waking up every hour to take her out leave some newspaper or something by her bed along with a couple bowls of water to keep her supplied. You might want to wake up every few hours or so to change the paper and refill the bowls.

Is she intact?A female dog that is not yet spayed can experience what is called pyometria, an infection in the uterus.If that is the case, then her health is at great risk and you need to seek veterinary attention immediately.If she is spayed, then there a re a number of different conditions that she could have. She needs to be seen by her vet as soon as possible.
