It's definitely not the breed. Bad breath is caused by bacteria. Give your dog rawhide chews and dog toys designed to keep teeth clean. If he has gum disease, which can cause bad breath, it will cost you a lot of money to sort out.

Bad breath usually stems from poor teeth, and gum disease.When did your dog last have a dental?It can come from other perhaps more serious issues, although if left, bad dental hygiene can affect the whole system.Once plaque/tartar has built up, brushing isn't going to help.

You don't really need to be worming your dog every 3 months, unless you have reason to suspect he's getting into the feces of other animals, or each eating dead wild animals who may have tapeworm.Before you do another worming, why not get his stools tested to see whether it's really needed.After all you are using a chemical when you worm a dog.

Poor teeth/gums shouldn't affect a puppy this young, but it's worth having him checked.And if you are feeding something like tripe, his breath isn't going to smell that great!!

I had the same problem with my boxmation. I fixed the issue by giving him a "minty" rope to help keep his teeth clean, two Milkbones a day, and a weekly Greenie. Basically, if you give your dog plenty of ways to keep his teeth clean and lots of fresh water it'll help.

His diet could also be the culprit, especially if you are feeding him anything grainy. Grains take longer for a dog to digest, and they ferment while in the stomach, resulting in bad doggie breath and gas. You could try a raw food diet, or give him a digestive enzyme and a probiotic if kibble is your best option. I'd ask you're vet which one she would recommend.
