I want to love my puppy…please help?

I just got a puppy. She is 7 Months old and she is a terrier mix. She is sooo lovable. Her name is Abby. She is young, so I do have to potty train her and teach her to keep quite at night when I am trying to sleep. So I dont know if this has to do with sleep deprivation or….something else. My parents and brother love her. I like her, I can't love her yet. I want to look forward to seeing her when I come home but I don't. My parents had 2 dogs that I adored, I have had a dog in my life for almost half of it. I feel optimistic about possibly loving her later on like I loved them, when shes trained. But I only feel that way when my parents are around or when I'm talking about her at work. I want to love her so much, but I keep going back to the thougts of the days before her. When she pottys in her house or in my apartment I cry for so long.This is so horrible, but sometimes I think it wouldn't be so bad if the vet said she was so sick and I couldnt keep her and had to take her back to the adoption agency. It doesnt help that my neighbors whom I share a back yard with are so rude about her and she barks so loud when she sees them and I am trying to discipline her and she wont shut up so I have to take her inside which totaly defeats the purpose. Please help me cope with this.
