Is it possible for groomers to bring out more of certain shades of colors in dogs?

JP Asked: Is it possible for groomers to bring out more of certain shades of colors in dogs?

My dog has a black and white coat with touches of tan around his elbows and hind legs. I was wondering if I could request a groomer to cut and/or trim the hair in certain ways if possible so that the tinges of tan would strike out more.

Of course.A good groomer has access to many different kinds of shampoos that highlight various colours and well as the ability to re-do the dogs very shape if the owner so desires.
Explain what you want and ask if the groomer is capable of doing it.
Actually, it's kind of fun, and you could learn to do this yourself with a little help from a grooming book available on www.dogwise.com
Sounds like an Aussie or Sheltie.I trim my black, white, and tan Shelties to "hide" the tan…LOL.
