Is it usual for almost 2 week old puppies to want their mother’s owner to hold them a lot?

Asked: Is it usual for almost 2 week old puppies to want their mother’s owner to hold them a lot?

Now my dog Jazz is being a GREAT mother, but one of the pups was born particularly tiny, and after a couple days did not really have much strength to compete with her siblings. I mean, by herself she was pretty strong for a little pup, but her siblings are stronger. She was the last one born. She appeared otherwise healthy. We got her puppy formula, and I started bottle feeding her. She's built her strength back. She's mostly caught up with her siblings with her weight. She does latch on her mother quite well now-but sometimes after she nurses, she is really loud and whiny and I go pick her up-and she'll fall right asleep on my chest. Jazz does not appear to have a problem with this. She still cleans her, still snuggles with her after I get the pup to sleep…I think I may have just spoiled her by answering her whimpers, but I didn't want to risk her feeling rejected.
I have a tendency to anthorpomorphize animals…
