I have been away for a few days and my mom, who was watching my dog, said that he let out a loud yelp 4 days ago. My brother noticed a nasty bump on his head with some scratch marks around it. He hasn't been acting any differently. But he hasn't eaten at all today. And he is very clingy. He has had his rabies vaccine about a year and a half ago. I have already made an appointment for the vet at 11:40. I'm afraid he might have rabies. How long before rabies is irreversable in dogs? Thanks!

Keep him hydrated. Im not sure how long it takes to like sit in and take control, but just wait until you go to the vet.

It's illegal to not have your dog vaccinated for rabies, and you have to have proof of rabies vaccinations in order to get your dog license, so it is NOT possible that your dog has rabies.
