I have a five year old female jack russell. This morning she didn't do her normal stretching routine. She woke up and peed on the bed where she was laying (she never does that!) I got her harness and leash to take her out and she didn't get excited and wouldn't walk. Finally I got her outside and she pooped a little bit but it was runny. Then she laid down and when she got back up she started walking backwards. She's shaking a little and her stomach feels weird and kinda hard. I can tell she's in pain. I'm going to call my vet but, I wanted to see what it could be so I have.some knowledge of it before calling. Thanks in advance.

Could be a blockage. Maybe her stomache flipped like in Marley and Me? Idk if that is common in little dogs or not…

It seems pretty obvious that something is wrong with her. When my dog was ill, she would do all the things you have said ( lack of bladder control, not getting excited for food or walks etc) I took her to the vet and they said that she had stones in her bladder ( they were in her kidney but they moved down quickly). She was fine after the procedure. I'd seriously recommend you take her to the vet as soon as possible because it may be something more serious than kidney stones. I'm afraid I can't give you an exact explanation here of what your dog has or might have because only a trained vet can examine her if she's right in front of them. I hope the best for you andyour dog.

Your dog's stomach has twisted, take her to a vet immediately!!!!! At the vet they can try to untwist the stomach, and after they do that you need to make sure your dog does not eat or drink to fast, that is what causes the stomach to flip in the first place.
Vets are not all about being money hungry. It's true some over prescribe drugs and vaccines but vets go through a LOT OF HARD SCHOOL and if they didn't care about animals they wouldn't have done that. Do you know how hard it is to even get into a vet school? Since there are only under 30 vet schools in America?
This is my breed…the Jack russell terrier…so I take even extra offense when owners want to jeopordize their health by using "home care" as a way to save money *when* the problem is clearly an emergency. Go to the vet NOW not later. And I suggest you work on building a rapport with one so you know they won't rip you off.
