Ok! So it's boring in my house! I love to take care of my pets I have now but I think my 2 year old chocolate lab mix is lonely when I go to school! I really want to get him a buddy! But I can't fit another big dog in my house but I really want this small dog called a yorkiepoo! I think it will be a good thing to consider! My dog gets a long great with all dogs! I love all dogs my grandma has two yorkiepoo's and I love to go to her house and go train them new tricks!! But her dog is having puppies and I want one so bad! I know they get lonley without a buddy and It would be perfect to have one because I have a dog! But my dog is a ittle bit bigger well a lot bigger (65 pounds) I have money for the vet and food and care! I love to train dogs! So do you think I should get one? If so I have some questions?
Should I get a boy or girl?
How old do they have to be to get rid of?
Also I live in a 2 story home downstairs has 3 rooms (large sized) Upstairs has 3 rooms (large) The backyard is a medium sized yard!

Yes get a puppy and get a girl, if you get a boy sometimes when they reach maturity the two dogs will fight.Get a girl and none of that happens.Make sure you spay her.

It sounds like ur good 2 go 4 all aspects of the dogs life, well except if I were u I would get the same sex as ur dog that way they can b buddies, and not get "sexually" attracted 2 each other..but the size ratio is a little off bcuz if ur dogs get into an "argument" & there happens 2 b a fight … well… I think u get the pic..anyways.. good luck
It's NOT a breed, it's a MUTT.AND, why have you asked the SAME question TWICE?A 13 year can neither purchase/adopt a dog/pup, so quit wasting our time.Whether or not you get a dog is up to your parents.
You should deff get your dog a buddy :] Especially if you leave alot… They need friends. You sound like the perfect person to care for animals!! You should adopt as many as you can. But honestly, I wouldn't but your new dog from a breeder. Honestly they are making the world for animals worse. You really need, (and I will beg you on my knees haha) to go the shelter and save a little dogs life. You will make a pet, a life long friend who will be so happy you save their life. There and many being put to sleep because there is no room for them thanks to people like breeders. PLEASE GO TO THE SHEL TAR :]
For years, I have been in the habit of owning 2 boy dogs, one small terrier and one large hound, one much younger than the other.In my experience, it's a good formula for success.The older dog provides plenty exercise for the puppy (and vice-versa), and also helps with the training.Except maybe for the housebreaking, it doesn't really seem to matter all that much.
Having one dog already, the incremental dog count really adds no effort at all on your part after the housebreaking is done.
Being a terrier really makes up for the size differential, especially opposite a hound.I wouldn't expect a different result from a retriever.
I've never added a puppy to a household where the older dog is less than 3 years old, but 2 is probably going to work out ok.
So bottom line, what I would do is, get the yorkiepoo, make it a male.Neuter them both.Be aware of life span differences between the two breeds;the little dog will probably outlive his older brother.

But! It doesn't actually make the lab much happier, dogs need human interaction, we've bred them like that. I don't think she feels sad being home, she's probably just sleeping and would keep doing that even if she got a dog buddy. You could still buy the puppy, obviously.
