Should i talk to spca myself?

Asked: Should i talk to spca myself?

My neighbour across the street came over shortly after my neighbour next door's dogs were barking. He said for me to get my dogs to stop barking, but they had been quiet all day.

Yes they do bark, but never at night. they are never outside when i am not home, and i call them off when they do. Its typically at passerbys.

Across the street neighbour didnt realize it was my neighbour next doors dogs barking for ten minutes straight. He said he will do something to them (my dogs) if they dont stop.

Should i call the spca and note the situation, myself? I was upset by his threat. He came over specifically to talk to me not my husband and he kept pushing the issue. I came back to my husband and was on the verge of tears. Not because i am overly emotional but because he threatened my dogs and that he wouldn't stop. All you have to say is keep your dogs down and not keep going and going. I get the irony but my dogs bark if they bark for only a minute and the ones next door bark for ten minutes straight.

You NEED to tell this person that it's simply a misunderstanding and that it is not your dogs causing the trouble. You should also let the owner of the loud dogs know about this too, because you are getting grief because of them and because their dogs potentially may be in danger.

You can make a note if you're really concerned, but the SPCA isn't going to take your dogs without neglect or abuse. Most likely they don't respond to neighbors with attitude issues, and if your dogs are healthy and happy they won't do a thing. However, you can get a noise complaint from the police – Again only by noise laws. Here, they can't do anything before 11. Not sure about where you are. I wouldn't be overly concerned. Just film your neighbors' dog excessively barking and show anyone that shows up that – IF anyone does, it's likely not to happen.

Golden Retriever definitely. They are the sweetest dogs, perfect temper, and love to be around humans. Not as hyper as labs, and not as small or little dog yappy as pugs. Also, they are the 4th smartest dog, and eager to learn and please their owner.
