Another` dog from our neighbourhood has been seized under this legislation . A staffy x lab, a family pet for six years. just for having some characteristics of a Pit Bull Type . Thousands of dogs are being euthanized because of this legislating in britain every year .

Do you think this is fair ? Currently there is no DNA profiling involved its purely a looks thing . if the dog hascharacteristics ;

Well muscled thigh.
Long hind legs.

If your dog fits this description it is classed as "pit type". Is this really enough evidence to condem a innocent dog , after all many dogs fit this discription

With the staffordshire bull terrier being one of the most popular breeds in the uk , and being so closely related to the Pit Bull type , surley we need a more definitive system of testing dogs before they are euthanized ? There are many staffy crosses in the uk and badly breed ones , this is where the problem comes from . I am married to my American husband for 6 years now. We married here in the Philippines and decided to process our spouse visa the following year. In 2008 I went through the interview, medical exam and etc. and got "postponed" not for reasons like fraud & etc. but because his pay-out per annum lacked a couple of dollars as per the mandated state requirement. He got properties but this was not considered as they were looking at the monthy income to support me. I won't be able to go to US if he is not able to find another employer that could raise the pay.With this reason he stayed for 3 years in the Phils. with no intention to go back to US until his mother died in 2010. He went to US and found the dire state of their properties which lacked his maintenance for a couple of years. We decided then to have him spend 6 months in US and 6 months in Phils. We tried this for a year and just this month he informed me that he is unable to come home and it might take him more than 6 months to be back. He wants me to travel this time and be with him in time for the holidays in a tourist visa. While I so much want to be with my husband, I am scared to undergo the same process again and to undergo the same rejection. I lost hope in going to US and has made plans to process his citizenship in Phils. next year, put up a business and maybe have a baby. Also, since our first visa attempt, I have already established myself in my office, been promoted as a Manager (reason i can only go for a month in a tourist visa, I hope) and I also have a BIG chunk of savings. As I've mentioned we were infact planning to put up a business in Nov. (coz I thought he is coming, will be delayed since he cant come home). I also lost my passport years ago it expired already and it needs a change of name. I did not process that because I did not want to travel anymore. Well now as plans changed, I need to be there for a short time only (because I am needed at work PLUS, I lost the excitement YEARS ago, i hate it infact and this caused us to fight over my lack of enthusiasm) and financially we have improved (he sold one property plus got a job, but still does not plan to stay there for a long time). I only really wish to travel there for leisure, not to work not to hide or convert it to spouse visa, but just to have a month's stay. By the way, we dont have any properties yet, due to the demands of my job, I went through a relocation in the last year, stopping us to put anything permanent, but hey we got 2 dogs that we intend to have for the rest of their lifetime. There, this is an honest to goodness situation…by the way my sister is also a nurse in US,green card holder…MOST of you will probably answer a BIG NO if I ask about my chance of being approved…even if I pay big wad of money to an agency? but since you have the black and white situation here,,,can somebody give me at least an idea if I should just QUIT AGAIN or…push through…I DONT HAVE ANY INTENTION TO STAY THERE FOR A LONG TIME…I almost abhor the idea (sorry but this caused me a GREAT frustration in the past.postponed baby,postponed house,postponed business,,,etc,etc,..)…do i just go on with the application or is it just a waste of time and money…i need help any input is appreciated. thank you—by the way my colleague who just got money just for show,and a name temporarily placed as a business owner was approved for tourist visa, she got family in US,no husband though…so i think I life is quite unfair…
