Asked: Can my landlord charge me late fees on a pet deposit if it does not state so in the lease?

I moved into my apartment on August 5, 2012.I already had two cats and a dog and the manager was aware of this.Between being accepted to move in and actually moving in, my dog passed away and I adopted two dogs.They didn't give me a lease to sign until about 6 months after I moved in.The lease states that the pet deposit is $200 per pet and that if I fail to pay the pet deposit, the landlord can keep my security deposit (which is $400).The lease states that half of the pet deposit is nonrefundable and the other half could be kept if there is excess damage by the pets.I had the $800 pet deposit when I moved in but they told me to wait until I signed the lease to pay it.Long story short, I had to lend the money to someone and I don't have it now.I know that isn't the fault of the landlord, but it is what it is.Now they are threatening to charge late fees on the pet deposit.I have never once been late on my rent and they already have my security deposit.Is it legal for my landlord to charge late fees on a pet deposit?I live in McDonough County in Illinois.

So usual day wake up early, fight with my dad to wake him up for a ride to school. Exams where today sitting alone my best friend is having family problems and dealing with her mom who has thyroid cancer so she couldn't go to school. I have a group of friends who I dont really have my back so I try to avoid. After a long day of exams projects and being lonely. My dad picks me up. I told him I was hungry so he took me to McDonald's. After we got home i left a burger on the bed my dog got into in but just the box. He got really mad and slapped my shoulder. I am really now just tired of being abused by him. Always hitting me. I got my confidience up and called him a bad word. I never did that ever. He called my mom. Told her everything even told her that I was going to keep calling him that. LIE! Then I got tired once again and told him how I felt. He took of his belt and hit my legs. Nothing unusual. My legs numb in pain. I couldn't say anything. Silience just pure silience. My tears just streaming down my face. locked up in my room all day. Usual Day. Tears tears and tears all day wishing to die soon. Thinking about my best guy friend who moved out of town. How I miss him. He was my buddy. Now I have no one to talk to. Just me. In deep depression. No one caring about me.

So this would be a story I am planning to write on Wattpad. This would be like a teaser. I don't know if it would be too much do you think it would make a good story?

Hi there,
I have a english mastiff who is around a year old now. He's massive but he's truly a gentle giant.
Here in Edinburgh I don't even think there is another english mastiff. So his size sticks out like a sore thumb and I'm constantly stopped by people to clap or ask about him.
Anyway, in the last few months there have been a series of dognappings, sadly most of the lost dogs are found a few weeks later dead, and with evidence of dog fighting.
I never usually tie my dogs outside shops to get things, and when I do I get nervous, my other dog is quite skitters and would never allow anyone to take him, (My friend tested him and he howled and cried)
But Booker is so naive, and would without a doubt go with anyone, and I would be scared he'd be used in dog fighting.
Is there anyway I can tie him safely outside without worry? Sometimes it's tedious since I need milk or bread and cant get it because I have the dog with me.

Random question I know.. but I never even knew they did this until a month after I got my first chinchilla. She would spray my dogs if they ever got too close to her cage (they stay away now). Then she would spray my other chinchilla as I was trying to get them to know each other. She has never sprayed me before to actually "hurt" me but the other day she got an orange peel out of the trash and when I tried to take it from her, she sprayed my hand lol. Just curious if anyone else has gotten sprayed before???

I live in a suburban neighborhood we have our own house and a medium sized yard. the youngest child is 11 and the only other pet we have is a Berta fish. I'm just not sure about the fact that the dog would have to stay alone Monday to Thursday 7 and 1/2 hours and 6 and a 1/2 on Fridays. he will have plenty of playtime and exercise when were home . do you think a Boston terrier would fit in? another breed were considering is a German Pinscher, would that breed fit?

well in my apartments we arent allowed to have no type of pets AT ALL but i had alot of animals while living here. i had guniea pigs .. hamsters .. parakeets .. && etc. well kittens arent like dogs and dont make alot of noise soo Should i sneak one in?? please dont say no lol i rlly want one…. : ((

Asked: Roommate with a dog, am I being unreasonable?

I let one of my friends move in with me and my boyfriend last summer because she needed a place and my boyfriend was going to be gone all summer. This was supposed to be temporary, until December and now she is still here. He leaves again and will be gone from June to November leaving me in the house alone but I am tired of her dog making more work for me.

My boyfriend and I own the house and have put a lot of work into upgrading and the dog is doubling the amount of things I have to do before we move and rent it in November. We have a dog as well but she is small and doesn't get into anything. The roommate's dog pees in the house sometimes, runs through the house scratching the floors, has chewed up the drip system twice, and is big so she is leaving burn marks in the yard.

I am going to put down top soil and re seed the entire yard this summer and told her NO DOG on the grass AT ALL. The dog also jumps up and down on the deck we built last summer and has scratched it so bad I am going to have to re sand and stain it. What I really want is to nicely tell her it's not working anymore and I want to get the house in order to rent so she needs to find another place if she wants to keep the dog, but am I being unreasonable since my boyfriend will be gone all summer anyways? She is a good friend and I have talked to her about her dog before but I'm at my breaking point, I'm tired of fixing things I have already done, the house smelling like dog and cleaning every other day!

Does anyone have suggestions on how to approach this? It's come down to I'm tired of talking about the dog and just want it gone so I can fix the house and have it stay nice.

Pls. help me answer thisI have reason to believe my caretaker neglected my dog and let him die or purposely killed him! I found my beloved pet dead when i returned from a 3 day emergency trip. His caretaker said he passed away the night before but his body was already showing signs of edema and bloating and he was already emitting a strange odor. I need to know how long my baby's been dead.

Based on my CCTV footage i saw proof of neglect which i believe may have been done on purpose so that once my dog died he can be sold for consumption(dog meat is commonly eaten in my community)There's no other reason why the caretaker would have lied of his time of death orwaited so long before burying him unless he was searching for a buyer.

Please help me find justice for my beloved friend

ok i went to a pet shop today to look for a dog to buy and they were all kind of tired and looked sick
1 was ok so we took him out to play
not thinking i was playing with him and he playfully bit and licked my finger but i forgot i had a cut on that finger

could i get rabies from this ? i am just curious cause it was skin i bit off earlier just biting my nails so it was open when he licked the cut

my dog who we recently had to be put down (Cadi) got cremated and I have her ashes. I have them in my room on a ledge by the side of my bed. Every night I talk to her and tell her how my day went, how much I love her, and stuff like that. Then I tell her goodnight and kiss the box her ashes are in and maybe pet it once or twice. whether it be birds, pets, or other critters.I live in the country and no joke I've ran over an animal for every one of the 11 years I've been driving!Its been mostly birds but I have ran over a stray cat which I felt bad about.It's like they run or fly across the road as soon as they see me.Hopefully I never run over any more pet animals, I'd be devastated if I ran over a dog!
