what temperature outside is too cold for cats and dogs?

Kitty may not think so, but remember, cats have about the brainpower of a human three year old.You wouldn't let a three year old child go out in this weather just because they wanted to!

Kitty might change his mind as soon as he steps out the door, but don't give him the chance to go out, stay out and get frostbite or worse.Keep him inside.

Depends on how thick his coat is, but I feel that is probably too cold for your kitty. If not all over his body, at least his pads might freeze or crack. Just resist the temptation and have him do something else, perhaps temp him with his favorite toy?

i don't know, but i definitely try to make sure my cat is inside at night during the winter. i worry about him going outside on a normal day, i wouldn't ever let him outside in cold weather!!i dont get much cold weather where i live (it's been surprisingly dry this winter, with sunny(?!!??) days….) i suggest you get your animals some sort of clothing. and little booties for their feet. and supervise them while their outside because if they wander off in that cold of weather, you may never see them again…..

Cats I think are tougher than dogs. Much like Women can endure more pain than men.
Don't judge me but my cats are outside cats because they hate the indoors and it's gotten down into the negatives. Cats will usually huddle up together to keep warm or find an nice cramp place to curl up in to keep there body heat.

Dogs on the other hand depending on the breed should not go out and stay out during cold weather periods. My dog is a cocker spaniel and after being in 10 degree weather for 5 minutes for him to go potty he is cold and ready to go back in. It's just his breed of dog. We bought him a coat so he would stay a little warmer when we take him out.
