Curious Asked: Why do parents who try to raise their kids right, allow their kids to listen to hip hop music?
Why do they allow this behavior?
A kid who is an A student, is allowed to listen to hip hop? I've seen the mothers of these kids even listening to this music!
You see this music being played at proms. This hip hop garbage.
Why would these people allow their kids to listen to music that is created by people who grew up in the ghetto and were in gangs ? Snoop Dog comes to mind.

This reminds me of the parents who flipped out about how evil the Beatles and the Rolling Stones were. Seems to me that most of those kids grew up to be just fine.

My 7 year old is an awesome kid. He listens to hip hop, pop, country, and rock. And Satan has yet to possess his soul.

I'm a strong believer in uplifting books, music, movies and activities.I get even more saddened that most parents let their teenagers and even young children watch movies with nudity and violence just because they are "only PG-13".I'm going to encourage my children strongly to not listen to hip hop or anything else that is not worthy of putting into their minds.

It is not mine to tell other people what kind of music they want to listen to. I have my preferences and there are styles within those preferences that I can't stand. I don't even comprehend who people can listen to that crap but I do not go forth judging them like some fundamentalist religious person who has drowned in his/her own narcissism. The myth of music making people bad is just that, a myth. Ease up on the narcissism.

so the kids are doing well but they listen to 'evil' music, obviously it's not having a negative impact on them if they are still getting A's!
