My dog does that too. It use to really bother me a lot. I thought mine was cold too but, he wasn't. For some reason, some dogs just shiver. It can also mean that he is in pain. Dog's always shiver when they are in pain. But, dogs do shiver for no reason at all. My vet said that it's normal for some dogs to do that. It still makes me wonder if he's in pain that I don't know about but, I accept the answer from the vet that it's just something that dogs do sometimes.
I hope this helped

Hi sweetie,
I really don't think that you have anything to worry about hun. I think that your dog is probably just dreaming. (although I have no.clue what dogs dream about) but I've sat and watched bear (my parents dog) twitch, make weird noises and sometimes even sort of look like he's running in his sleep. If your still concerned about it though, just call the vet and tell them what's going on. They can probably answer your question over the phone w/o you bringing your dog in for a costly visit. I hope that I was able to help u out hun. Take care!
