This is my second Husky (as I do love them with all their quirks) and the first one was and the second one is great at the chase part but none too fond of the return and put the object at your feet part.Huskies seem to prefer 'keep away' while other breeds, possibly just about all other breeds, seem to be very very interested in repetitive fetch.What's up with that?

All breeds don't fetch.I had a lab and she would fetch anything.Then we got a mix, but mostly a pointer and she would point, but not fetch.Just depends on what the dog was bread for.Huskies weren't meant to bring things back to their masters, they were bread for other things.If you want a fetcher, get a Lab.

Huskies aren't retrievers. It's mostly retrievers and other dogs in the sporting group that tend to have a natural instinct to fetch.

Huskies were bred to pull sleds. They are working dogs. It's not just huskies that don't tend to fetch. Most of the dogs in the working group don't have a natural instinct to fetch.

Some dogs like repetitive acts,others don't.
&it is NOT "hunting" behavior,which Sibes don't have for spit.

It's not just Huskies that are not interested in the return part, it's usually the retriever type dogs that seem to like to fetch, although there are couple labs in my neighborhood that couldn't care less. I have a schnauzer and he loves to chase balls but then wouldn't bring them back, he is more interested in running around with the ball in his mouth trying to get other dogs or me to chase him.
