so my dog is 10 years old now and she cant really run but shes not injured or anything like that, shes just old. but just tonight shes been running from one spot to another in my living room, like she will go and lay down and then get up and run to another spot. and shes panting pretty hard too. do you think shes sick? or uncomfortable? and i dont know if this has anything to do with it but tonight my grandpa had a stroke and my friend seems to think that my dog knows it and is freaking out. but im not sure if thats even possible? is it? please help, i love my dog and i need to know whats wrong with her.

you would be surprised about how much animals know about you and other stuff….i mean yur dog is pretty old, idrk but ya i think yur dog could just feel worried
Dog's have a 6th sense and there are some dogs that can even detect seizures before they happen or smell cancer on people.It's definitely possible she sensed the stroke.Keep watching her.If she continues to display this behavior, take her to a vet.
If your grandmother had the stroke while the dog was around, this could be causing the behavior. Dogs are very in tune with their owners physical and emotional state.
Panting is often a sign of stress or pain.
It could also be that she's uncomfortable. She may be developing arthritis. If this is the case, you will want to take her to the vet. There is a wonderful drug out there called Cartrophen. This drug works wonders for many senior dogs. It takes a series of 4 weekly shots, followed by one shot every 6 months. Talk to your vet about it. It's quite affordable as well.
